Reviews and Ratings
The hotel rooms felt like a dormitory: small, claustrophobic, and unimaginative. I was disappointed to only receive a standard room despite paying for a superior room. The room was tiny with only one chair, making it uncomfortable to relax without someone on the bed. However, the service was consistently friendly and accommodating, even though they couldn't provide a nightcap drink. The location wasn't great as our window faced the back car park, but the hotel would be suitable for a brief stay in the area. The dining experience was satisfactory with hot and fresh options, although it wouldn't have been worth the full price. The facilities were average with nothing outstanding.
Although the rooms were small and dark in separate accommodation, my experience at the restaurant, bar, and grounds was enjoyable. However, the standard rooms were average and not worth the price for a stay.
I enjoyed my stay at the hotel. The individual cubicles leading outside to a grass courtyard were fantastic. The rooms, although slightly small, were clean and warm. The staff was friendly and welcoming, with a smile always on their faces. The location was perfect for exploring Wickham Village, only 5 minutes away, offering a quiet and secluded retreat. The dining experience had a good selection of tasty dishes. Overall, a comfortable and pleasant stay with a few minor drawbacks.
